British Scholar: British Studies

The British Studies Program at the University of Texas at
Austin holds weekly seminars on all topics related to Britain.
The program was started in 1975 to encourage interaction
between faculty, students, and members of the Austin
community on British history, politics, and literature. For the
program’s director, Professor Wm. Roger Louis, “the
interaction of British and other societies is an endlessly
fascinating subject.” Accordingly, Britain’s global interactions
play a central role in the diverse topics presented to the
seminar.
